12 weeks and its photo!

Well today is actually week 13, but i am just now posting week 12's photo! ive been quite busy with school and ran a little behind! Week 12 marked some much appreciated changes! I have felt less nauseated and more energized than i have in quite some time! Very thankful for that! I have also been eating more foods without having to think deeply about how my stomach will react :) I noticed that as of week 12, the bump is def. visible- to me at least. And it is very annoying to know about 10 girls at work who are pregnant right now, and they didnt start showing until 16 weeks or so! Unfair! But they were also probably 100lb, so theres my reasoning for showing much sooner. I sadly, was not 100 lb.!!!  With school Ive been focused very little on the details of what needs to be done before Aug. quickly approaches- Im hoping in May once school lets out, that I can really dig into to what I need to do!! Plus, May brings a fabulous cruise to the caribbean so thats kind of on my mind as well right (only 85 days away might I add!) Here is week 12's photo! I hope you all Enjoy the newly obvious bump!

11 weeks, old furniture and mom turns 50!

Hello! We are about to complete week 11 and im feeling somewhat better! I hope and pray this is the split in the road where it all gets better! haha! I def. feel bigger and fuller suddenly and am truly becoming unable to "suck it all in" like i once could...and thats hard to wrap your head around bc now ill get to enter that stage where ppl will think i just ate one too many donuts and judge me ha! oh well :) My mom was able to get my original cradle from my grandmothers attic- still in PERFECT condition, just needs a new foam mattress pad. And then i spoke to my dad who has ready for me my baby rocking horse! He just needs to replace the once tail that i ripped out at some point. He also mentioned a baby book he had for each of his kids with photos of only them inside and texted a few of his favorite to me- i thought id share a few on here just for fun! Also today marks my moms 50th BDAY! Shell be a grandma on her 50th year- a pretty good celebration! What a year it will be!

Sleep? sleeping but able to stay up later than before and finding i feel better if i dont sleep in too late

Best moment this week: feeling less nauseas

Miss Anything? still searching for me completely normal appetite

Movement: last week i felt one little summersault but not any since!

Food cravings: this week hasnt been too strange. been much more thirsty this week though so id say, water.

Anything making you queasy or sick: I am still having plenty of food aversions, and they change at any given moment. Waiting too long between meals is not fun- i def. feel sick if i let that happen

Have you started to show yet: yes, to me i can see the bulge.

Week 10 photos!

This week proved to be an improvement from the previous weeks :) I had decreased nausea and was able to eat a wider variety of foods without being grossed out! Thats progress folks! I also had some onesies purchased by my mom to add to our growing closet :)  Also Huge this week: I felt the baby move! It felt like a somersault in my abdomen! I read that you can feel this baby this early but may not experience it again for a few weeks; I feel lucky enough to have felt it this early on though!

Coolest lullabies! and food for thought....literally

Today I stumbled upon the neatest thing ever! I found " Rockabye Baby!" brand lullabies. They are remakes of many rock bands made to the tune of a lullaby! I purchased the cd cover of "tool" for Ben, the cover for "no doubt" for me and then the single "island in the sun" by weezer for us both; esp. since this was our wedding recessional song! check out the website to hear samples! I just thought it was too cool!

Also, crossing my mind is all the other aspects of birth that I want to understand and make decisions about. The one thing I liked most about the midwife was her view of this being OUR birth process not hers. I have always been sure I wanted to save the babies cord blood, esp. working with children I get to see the worst case scenario and many of those scenarios could be improved possibly if cord blood were available for the child. I also am reading about the HUGE benefits of leaving the umbilical cord attached for at least several minutes..there is no reason the cord needs to be cut immediately and the baby whisk away- understandably, unless the baby is in immediate danger. The benefits of the cord blood being allowed to drain into the baby are as beneficial as saving the cord blood! why else would you save it if it werent amazing? And, cord blood can still be saved even if you allow the cord to drain into the baby, saving just enough to be taken to the blood bank.

Also today, I read about placenta encapsulation. Yes, be grossed out if you wish- but we are the only mammal that does not consume our placenta. They toss it in the trash even though it was grown by me to do everything for my growing baby. It can be taken and basically turned into capsules for the mother to take for several weeks after birth and has been shown to reduce depression, baby blues, anemia, and increase energy levels- just google this simple phrase and you will be presented with a Wealth of information!! Why does every other mammal except humans consume this organ that is loaded with nutrients and hormones?
