8 months!

So our big boy is ALREADY 8 months old....i know, i know... i dont know how it happened either! but time has already passed that quickly and its bittersweet! sweet bc hes so much fun and an amazing baby boy who i love watching grow, but bitter bc each passing day is a day ill never get back with him :(

At 8 months, this boy is a handful. Today he welcomed his 6th tooth- 4 on top and 2 on bottom now. He pulls up and cruises on any object he can which has been resulting in many bumps and bruises lately. I never leave his side bc of this! so this results in my stalking him around the house all day- literally, ALL DAY! staying home with a baby who thinks hes a toddler is an exhausting job in itself! When he's much older and asks me to tell him about himself as a baby i will easily be able to describe his infancy with one word- determination. He is so determined to do any and everything and it is resulting in me feeling like i have a toddler, not an 8 month old! not to mention his height- his 8 month stats:

23lb and 30 inches tall.

holding the fan remote; if you give him any remote he gets so excited and it buys me a few minutes for picture taking haha

monthly photos are no longer easy- as climbing is the new normal.
and mommy got his onesie on backwards bc hes so busy- i put it on as fast as i could then realized it was backwards ha

1st time in a restaurant high chair! and i say "restaurant lightly" hes never been in a restaurant with table service still to date

laughing at daddy rockin out!

bath time fun!

1st goose egg :( and right when he woke up- not a good way to start the day!

my new swing Grandmommy painted for me!
we also bought P his big boy car seat! he was just getting cramped in the infant carrier and this one should be around for a few years! he seems to like the elbow room!

1st car ride in the new fancy seat!

finished P's birth shadow box this week also!

In grandmommys pack-n-play aka baby jail! she let us borrow it for our house to get P use to it for vacation this summer!

Strollin'

Today my mom, phoenix and myself got out early to see what was happening at Bottomview Farms. You may remember this is the same farm we did our reveal party at just one year ago this month! Time has flown, my goodness.

There were a lot of booths set up today: crafts, jewelry, clothes etc. And of course several
delicious(ly bad) food booths which we stopped to admire but didnt partake :(

Phoenix really seemed to enjoy the sites and the sunshine. Afterwards, we met up with Pimpaw/ PawPaw for some fun at the local Expo center, basically like a flea market, where we bought some local raw honey and sugar free jam! Yum!

Just a Swingin'

With the amazing April weather came a fun, outdoorsy weekend in the Butterworth home :) My mom and stepdad brought us a frame for a temporary baby swing until Phoenix's personalized, snazzy swing arrives courtesy of Grandmommy! But he didnt mind, he loved swinging just the same! and fell asleep doing so

up from a nap and at it again!

out shopping with daddy!

enjoying some delicious prunes and green beans! its not quite as fun if its not messy!

first time pushing to sitting! excuse the blur, i took it as fast as i could get the camera out!

then the next day (this morning)...i pulled to my knees!
I rewarded myself with play time :)

Welcome back Blogger!

Ok. so its been about 3 months. the problem i was having was my DSL camera produced such large photos, its sucked up all my allotted mg of photo space on blogger and the only way around that was to purchase more space. which i really didnt want to do since this blog would one day just disappear into oblivion and Phoenix may never even read it. That is, until i was introduced to the wonderful world of Blogger books! I already make Snapfish bound books out of every event in our lives and adore them! But now i can turn my blog into one? no way! well believe it! and so to my delight i feel that the cost to resume my blog has been justified. even if no one even reads it! its a way to journal then at the end of the year print a beautifully bound book for our library! To quickly back track a bit, the last few months have been a blast and jam packed full of fun and surprises and packed to the brim with milestones!

-Phoenix has 3 teeth, 2 on the bottom and 1 on the top and still shows a bit of the bottom molar as well ( which has been visible since about 3 months old)
-He is enjoying home made, delicious pureed baby foods in any color and variety you can imagine. but hands down his favorite food is prunes haha ( lucky me!)
-He babbles and blows bubbles and is a grunting king when he wants to be heard; everyone in public thinks hes making a poop. little do they know hes just voicing frustration
-By 4 months he was rolling over both ways but this just wasnt enough- i dont think he will be happy until he walks.
-In his 6th month he really began crawling, he'd dabbled with it a bit before that but really mastered it in March
-In his 7th month he has accomplished pushing to sitting and now pulling up to his knees. He hasnt yet gotten to his feet on his own, but we're in no hurry... although im pretty sure he is!

In between all of that i know ive left out the daily joys of having a growing baby but luckily i keep a "one a day" journal. You write a few lines everyday for 5 years and then can look back at each date to see how things have changed. its been a great way beyond a baby book for keeping up with all of the little daily happenings that i think i wont forget but know that, sadly, i will. Plus, being home with him has been amazing. I cant express how grateful i am to be able to do so. I havent had to miss anything, and with camera ALWAYS at my side, i feel as though ive captured his life day by day, milestone by milestone. I cant wait to show him one day :) bc of this, i plan on putting together an album on his 1st birthday comprised of 365 images; my favorite pics from each day for one year. i think itll be amazing to look at how he changed and how each day had a little part in that change. so yes, my computer is made up of extremely organized albums to keep up with all these photos! God love a Mac. speaking of, i really need to back this computer up...hmm. any suggestions??

Now lets let this Blog resume! ( first i must whip out my debit card and purchase more photo space :/ )
