Beautiful snow!

We've had snow twic now this year, not much, but enough to excite Phoenix :) tonight it started falling so hard and out of no where! He ran to the window and yelled," it's snowing just like on polar express! God sent me snow!" I love this boy.

Chew on this

Today P found gum and came into the kitchen chewing it. I said ," what is that you're eating?"  he replied, " I'm eating gum. It is so tastey!"  he pulled it out to show me then popped it back in his mouth,  chewing it very over enthusiastically as pictured below :) it was too cute to stop him haha

Bath time is typically a happy place for us. As the saying goes, " if your baby acts crabby, put them in water" and its quite true for this little boy- he always gives lots of silliness and smiles in the water and it always stops crabby behavior in an instant.

P has also been on a, " no i want it raw!" kick lately. case in point, i found him eating frozen waffles in the kitchen.

Plantation homes and sweet tea...

Me, you and gma went to the ridgetop park when gma told me there was a real caboose! P loved it!!! you loved climbing under it and on it, investing all the details! There's also a wooden child's train that you loved. You got inside and shouted out the window" all aboard! All aboard!! All aboard!!" You said you were the conductor and we were on the polar express. You saw a girl in the playground and shouted "hi Cindy Lou who!!" All girls are Cindy Lou :)) the next day I took you back, just the two of us. You again had a blast. You saw a white shaggy dog and yelled "mommy look at that lamb!!" It was adorable. There's a big historic plantation home there and we sat on the porch. I said "can you believe they use to sit on this amazing porch and relax and probably drink tea!?" A few mInutes later I looked over and you were sitting, rocking, with your hand to your mouth. I said ," what are you doing?" You said, " I'm sitting in this chair, drinking sweet tea" and pretended to drink. I could've died. It was so adorable. So I sat with you and you said ," ,mommy drink tea with me... Cheers". No better moment. It was amazing. The "lambs" walked by about that time and the lady let you feed them a cookie and pet them. You loved that! We also had a picnic on the wooden toy train set. The place was deserted, we had it all to ourself! It was very fun!!

This photo shows the accidental haircut that i gave your bangs...well it wasnt an accident that i cut them, it was an accident that my extra sharp scissors took off so much hair without much effort on my part!

Sweet baby love

As you've gotten older, you've been more and more affectionate and we love it :) lately you love to "be mommy" or "be daddy". Recently you put on my deodorant and said I'm mommy! You saw daddy putting his on a few days later and ran to join in. He put it on you and you shouted so happily," look mommy I'm daddy!!!" You were so proud :) you put on my shoes and jewelry, even painted a few of your fingernails with me, so that you could be just like mommy. Nothing makes me happier :) bc I know one day you won't say those things anymore, I drink it in while I can. :) I love you.

Milestones in the making

2015 is off to a bang with my baby boy quickly becoming a big boy. He's always acted bigger than he is, but some recent changes have proven to make him quite happy and me quite sad because it means he's getting older. For starters, he's never liked a stroller, heck, we stopped even going places bc he had such fits but wasn't old enough to be let loose, so our only option was to stay home. although we still don't hit the town often, when we do he's walking with the buggy 100% of the time. The difference is he's slowly starting to actually listen and not run off like a crazy person. Maybe we'll be seeing more of the world in the coming months years?

Also, January brought us a few lovely warm days and Phoenix proved to us that, apparently, not all kids need to be taught how to swing, because he just swing like wed been practicing it all year! I was so proud and so sad all at the same time! he was of course, thrilled.
He yelled, " Look how high Im swinging!"

In an effort to continuously be just like daddy, you became the only 2 year old i know who mastered potty training without any actual training, but now youve also mastered standing to pee- again without any training from us. you just decide you are going to do something and guess what, you do it.  you also enjoy peeing in the adult potty too. it pretty much amazes us all.
