Drink of water

At night, often p will say hes thirsty at bedtime and ill let him get up by himself while i wait on him in his bed, hell climb the toilet, grab paper cups from the cabinet, jump down, climb the bathroom counter, poor water and slowly bring his water cup to his room. Most always hell show up with two. One for me and one for him. Because hes amazingly sweet and thoughtful in that way. It really makes me swoon to see him come around that corner balancing his cup and mine. Tonight he took one to daddy up in the den before returning to me with ours in his hands saying, "herew ya gooooo mommy".  Half the time he doesnt wven drink his, but if hes going to think of an excuse to get out if bed, at least he considers my needs as well. Its the most precious thing in the universe. 

Opryland 2015

Tonight ben played music and ao we were home alone. I asked you if youd wanna go somewhere to see pretty lights and you jumped up very excited! So off we went to opryland hotel! Last year was a bit of a fail, but thid year- you loved it! We walked han in hand most of the night, threw pennies in the ponds making wishes, all you wishes were "i wish upon a star" :), we rode the elevators and the escalators- you just love those two things- and you got very excited overthis beautiful ornament that we could sit in as well as the giant nutcrackers placed all over he hotel! Once, as we walked holding hands, you kissed the too of my hand and looked up at me and smiled so big that i think you blushed. I literally melted away in a puddle of nothing. You kissed it one more time and i fawned over you again and again! I was speechless at such love! My heart was full enough to explode. Something soecial about a mama and her cub, i tell you. we took a potty break and once more, you shut the stall door and made me wait outside of it bc u are "a big boy" buy this time you even locked me out! So i stole some photos of the moment :) we had the best time and i do so love the time we get alone- its awfully special to this mama. ❤️

Middle of the night kisses

Last night around 1am, p woke up in my bed, scooted to me, grabbed my face, planted 3 huge mouth kisses on me and thn hugged me so big. He then laid back down with his hand holdin my face and fell back asleep, or i dont know maybe he was never awake, either way it was simply amazing. I nearly couldnt go back to sleep, i had the butterflies of a girl with a crush :) 

Boys will be boys!

Thanksgiving 2015

On tg day we stayed home, met peppers the elf who made his return to our home feom sanatas workshop, watched the macys day parade, ate ham and biscuits that ben made us when he got up, cleaned the back yard and played in the 65 degree weather! P napped in the afternoon and we went to bens grandmothers at 5. We had a good visit but as often happens, p was upset and asking to leave by 7. When we got in the car p said "i was ready to leave bc it was just too loud in there!" Haha. Although he may be noisy at home on his own, hes really not a fan of noise and commotion believe it or not! Mom says i was the exact same way! I made an amazing homemade pumpkin and sweet potatoe pie! And boy was it creamy goodness! P climbed a tree in the backyard as well saying, "when it was my birthday icouldn't go this high, i cried 'mommy', but now im older and i can go so high!!" He climbed up high and pretended to be stuck and them said into his bent wrist," "Rescue rescue! Comporting ( reporting) i need help im stuck!" ( talking into his wrist like a walkie) it was adorable. He had on his fireman rain boots so he was acting like a fireman stuck in a tree ;) on saturday we went to my mom and wiltons and saw mike and ron and mammy. We had a feast! P inhaled gmas boston cream pie And my second pumpkin pie was even better i believe! And i made homemade black bean brownies which were so yummy! P had had a late nap and was wild as ever and giggly as can be! He sure loves some uncle mike!! Moms house was decorated so pretty! She went all out and it looks amazing! P already had gifts from everyone waiting for him- he got a thomas xmas book from mammy, a charlie brown singing clock from mike and ron and a talking rudolph book from mom and wilton. He also gave mom and wilton their xmas ornaments and thaksgiving cards :) they loved it all! It was a great night and celebration. I enjoyed having Thanksgiving dinners on two different dAys bc we were able to actually enjoy our time!  

Peppers the elf (a continuation)

This year p named mr elfie, peppers! And i love it! I waited to ask him about a name until he was old enough to really name him. He named him within 2 seconds, and without even seeing him ( aince his last visit last christmas). I was pretty impressed with the name :) peppers made his debut this year on thanksgiving morning and p was really excited to see

him :) he knew if he touched him he could lose his magic but he made sure to tell peppers what he wanted santa to bring him for christmas. A go car pedal of course. :)

Then he took mr grinch to the hospital to work on him and make him better. P said he was hot and sick. 

Peppers left a note that him and Baby were playing and knocked the advent off the bonus room shelf that it was sitting on. It fell down the wall that the stairs are on and broke in several pieces. "Maybe daddy can fix it?" Peppers Asked. 

Peppers had the bible open to our favorite verse "hope anchors the soul" Hebrews 6:19, and the first verse you ever memorized. 

 We woke to the fan on and peppera spinning in your underwear! P said, "its ok! Its ok! Hes just riding a ride like at the carnival!"

On christmas day, peppers had a cupcake so we could sing happy birthday to jesus!
