The last day of 2.

Tomorrow is this perfect childs 3rd birthday and i dont know how its even happened so quickly. Out of 1095 days of his life ive only ever missed spending 250 of them with him. Which really seems like a lot to me, lets be real. I live for motherhood and my heart beats beyond its capacity for this soul. I can never express how much love i hold inside of me- only other mommas will know the love i feel. ❤️ and what blessed, lucky mommas we are. Thank you for choosing me, phoenix rainne. 

Daddys boy

This amazing guy gets up every morning, before the sun does, with his daddy to "be like daddy and get ready for work". Then daddy puts him back to bed with me before he leaves for work. Well This morning not only did he get ready like daddy, but daddy let him get dressed like him also! This was one excited boy to be all dressed like daddy and id say hes a pretty amazing poster child for Lawrence Glass, too! ❤️ once up, he went and sat in the chair like ben, asked for oj in a daddy mug and then read his music magazine saying "oh i weally need all these guitars!" my heart is so full watching this baby look up to his daddy so much.

You also used quite the imagination today when you dressed up and said you were a "police man giving you tickets mommy you owe me $50 or you are going to jail!" And then telling me "mommy come look i peed in the steamer!"  (You are not peeing in the photo but reenacting for me as proof of what you did!) 

Gymnastics success

Today was fay two of gymnastics and you absolutely love it! You listen so well, have patience and love to be first in line you also look for the approval from the teacher after each stunt and give her plenty of thumbs ups! Its the greatest thing for a momma to watch ❤️ i am so proud 

 

While other 2 yr olds are watching cartoons....

Only p gets caught watching a video on youtube of an upper endoscopy after wanting to know more names for the structures in our mouth ( he tells ppl about their uvulas and frenulums already) and says to me, "mommy theres two ways to go down, down the wind pipe or into the stomach. You do NOT want to go down the wind pipe mommy. " 😳 this is everyday in this house. 

Counting groups!

And just like that, today you counted groups of objects. For your bday mikey and ronnie got you books and clothes. One of your books was a dry erase activity book with lots of matching, traving and counting. And although weve counted groups of things many times before, tonight it clicked  and you counted groups of items with no problem! I had you use the dry erase marker to mark each item to show you had counted it. You did he entire book without any problem! I remember the moment in 2nd grade when telling time clicked for me, and i guess somethings just happen like that! It was so rewardibg to watch you suddenly just get it!!!! I am so proud! Thank you uncle mikey and hncle ronnie for the extra push! 

Grocery store funnies

Tonight in Als foodland you picked your cousin a birthday card for his third bday party tomorrow. And you were very excited about this card. And you also ate raw hamburger. I was looking at meat and heard you making chewing sounds. I looked over to find you chomping away and when i said what are you eating?! You pointed to the hamburger. I said p that was raw hamburger!!!! You said nit it isnt bc i dont eat hamburger. Touche. 

Before bed you had a giggle fest over the fan blowing your shirt onto you so very skin tight! 

Words of the night...

Some funnies from bedtime tonight...

I started singing hush little baby.... And when i sang "if that mockingbird dont sing..." P bursts into sobbing tears-

" wahhhh if that doesnt work im so sad. Im so sad and you need to buy him batteries so hell work. Wahhhh! This song is so sad wahhhh"

A little bit later he smacked my face and so i smacked his hiney and i got- "wahhhhhhh!!!!!! You hit my burn. You hit my burn ( ong his hand from the toaster over- and no i didnt). Grandma and me made nachos and she didnt let my other hand get burned. Wahhhh!"

Then "sing that sad song again its so sad!" ( hush little baby) so i did and he began crying again until i said "mommas gonna buy you a mocking-TURD!" Then he laughed the hardest and longest iver EVER heard him laugh! He ran out of sound he laughed so hard! It was such a glorious sound! I just cracked up along with you :) 

Cloud shapes

This afternoon we enjoyed more time on our new playground and you spotted some pretty impressive cloud shapes. Cloud shapes. To me- a kid requirment. If you didnt hunt cloud shapes as a child, you couldnt possibly have had a complete childhood! P spottef these on his own while we played! I was quite impressed with his creative eye. 

He said as he spotted them:

"Mommy i see a crocodile!! With his mouth open!!" 

"Now its a worm! See his eye!"

"Theres a turtle! His tongue is out!"

At the library...

Librarian: what is your address

Me: ...white house

P: TENNESSEE! White house, tennessee. Thats our state. But daddy, he lives in the state called "work". 

Driving home i called my mom and her phone dropped the call. I sighed and said "i can never talk to grandma! Her phone..." P replied, " two reasons why becuase youre in the car on the phone, and theres no signal." A while later we tried to reaume our call and it happened again. P, in the back seat seemingly not paying attention interjects saying in a very annoyed, loud tone, " i already told you two times!! Youre on the phone in the car, AND theres no signal!!!"

When ben came in tonight p gave him 2 quick lessons...

"the sun is our closest star. It is made of gas and gives us sunshine and heat!" 

And then "your penis gets big when it fills up with blood, daddy. Mommy, i told daddy bc he didnt know"

Brought me a barley inflated pink balloon...

"Mommy its a uvula!"

My son is definitely a hoot. 

New library!

Today while everyone else started their first day of school, we made our way to the new grand opening of the white house library! Its massive and beautiful! It has its own kids sections for reading, computer time, puzzles and a new room for story time and dance parties :) p loved it and broke it in by learning to use the computers :) we left with many books to read and movies to watch!

Important stuff :)

I have continued to fail to report that you have began reciting your name address and birthday! You mastered this a few months ago, actually. You tell people you are "phoenix rainner butta-worth" and you are "two but will be free at my next birthday, then four, then five!" (While sinutaneously showing your fingers), and that your birthday is "august 25th!" And you "live at 400 autumn wood i live in my neighborhood"! We made a rhyme for memory sake :) and it worked! You also mastered getting me and gmas phones and calling either me, her or ben to say "mommy/ gma is not waking up" i case anything werw to happen to either of ys when were home alone with you. We practiced us "not waking up" or being hurt and you can unlock the cell phone, go to 'favorites' and choose one of us to call. Its pretty amazing really! Actually that afternoon that you learned how to do this, tou hurt yourself and cried for me yo call gma. I asked why bc i was confused if you just wanted her to make it better or if there was a particular reason and you said , " bc you said if we get hurt to call gma!"... Touche!
