18 weeks!

I finally got ahead! Im posting the 18 week photo and update ON the 18th week! Impressive! Well things have been good this week! I only peed one time last night and felt so much more rested when i woke up! I also had a mini shopping spree this week and got some of the cutest gender neutral clothes! i snagged 2 pairs of osh gosh overalls that were both originally $40 and were both marked down to about $4! also was able to grab  many onesies for mere pennies (thank you kohl's sale racks- who wouldve thought kohl's?) im also dying to know the gender b/c Bloomingdales has THE CUTEST ONESIES EVER!

Some Bloomingdale's Onesies:

Also, while at school today i managed to find a newborn sale rack in the WKU bookstore! I had to get at least one more item to add to the WKU collection!

Also bought this super cute farm style/eclectic basket for the room, not sure what ill toss in it just yet...

Also bought this nifty baby carrier- i liked it because it can be used as a blanket in a carseat, and then can be used as a tote to carry baby out of the car without toting the carseat :)

And as i was organizing all my old baby books, i found our oldest child all snuggled up waiting for someone to read to him.....

17 weeks...

well, week 17 has come and gone, rolling by as fast as the last 16. this baby will be here so fast it isnt even funny..and sadly, as all moms would say, they will be grown before i blink and i wont be able to believe how old i am and how fast life went by. kind of sad- i actually think thats one reason i was fine putting off babies until or even later than this, bc if i dont have babies, time doesnt go quite as fast, and life seems a little longer. I was thinking today of my childhood and how awesome it was- really i cant say that i ever have memories of less than great fun! and i realized how fast it was over and how im almost 30.....wow. before i know it ill be 60. ok, im depressed now! for some positive news- I was able to feel Baby B several times this week- at this time as just little air bubbles in my lower tummy- but it was Baby B none the less! yay! ok, so on with the photo! here is my 17 week photo!

Strollers!

Hello everyone! So Ive been losing sleep over the idea of a stroller...i want the reviews to be great, obviously i want something that will last! also, we really wanted air filled tires instead of plastic and we wanted the 3 wheel look. thats really all- thats not too much to ask right? apparently it is! finding a 3 wheel stroller filled with air, and not having horrible reviews has been a task! So i decided to look at the bob revolution. I keep hearing all about it.. It meets all the things we wanted, but it collapses huge!  and we want to be able to take this on vacation or in the car without breaking out in a sweat. So while looking at the bob, i stumbled upon the City Mini 2012 and the new City Mini GT ( which has air tires!). The new 2012 city mini does not have air tires, but does have suspension making bumps and uneven ground less of an issue. I think i fell in love! I love the site http://babygizmo.com/ and she compared the 2011 city mini to the 2012, to the GT and to the BOB! and i think the city mini comes out on top.. now to decided b/n the 2012 and the GT, it may just come down to needs, and do we really need air tires?????? Im not going to run with it, but will walk on paved trails with it so i dont think the air tires are 100% necessary. here is the video of the 2012 city mini ----> City mini 2012 video..The BOB starts at around $400 and the city mini 2012 is much lower at $249. Now for the city mini GT (with air wheels), it is back up there at $349. But i still like the small collapse of the city mini better even if they are running the same price for the GT and the BOB....now we just need to decide!

things i like:
- it has the biggest canopy on a stroller with 2 peep windows
-tons of colors
-3 wheels
-huge undercarriage for storage
-its only 16 lb!
-breaks down with one hand and collapses into one of the smallest on the market
-available accessories include baby tray, parents tray, baby handle bar, etc.
-150 degree recline (one of the flattest avail,)! suitable for a newborn without a car seat!
-mesh window of back of reclined seat (does have a cover for it if its windy or rainy)
-and with all of them, you have to by a car seat adapter if needed

Mesh window on reclined seat:

Colors available:

Collapses into the tiniest stroller with only one hand!

The BOB collapsed is much bulkier:

Side by sides of each stroller:

BOB $400:

The City Mini 2012 $249:

 The City Mini GT $349:
(only diff. from 2012 is adjustable handlebar and air filled tires)

16 Weeks!!

Last week marked 16 weeks! Finally, heres the photo to go along with it! The bump is becoming less inconspicuous with each passing day! actually- this week marked the 1st few comments I received from several people at work who didnt know i was pregnant- so this baby is making its bump known!...also week 16 marked Ben and my 13 year anniversary as a couple! Who wouldve thought 13 years later we'd be growing a Baby Butterworth?!

High chairs!

ok today i vow to play catch up with the blog! the last 2 weeks in school have been insane! not to mention i got sick in the middle of it all so needless to say i was a bit slow with everything in my life! this saturday will mark 17 weeks! Its flying by! Recently ben and i went to check out strollers and car seats- who wouldve thought there would be so many options?! we really are basing what we buy on reviews we find online- i dont mind spending more money if it is going to last me forever! Plus, we like very modern decor and wouldnt mind having baby items that blend well into our home. I always say i do not want to walk in my house and see a ton of themed baby items lying all around...i just like the clean lines and simple designs...cartoons, or nickelodeon images i can live without! and everyone has their preference, this is just ours :) plus, they sale a ton of awesome modern baby stuff these days... right now my dilemma is deciding between a few high chairs. We knew we didnt like the big fluffy, plastic looking high chairs that flood the stores everywhere you go! Simple, clean, and modern will do just fine! plus, I really like the base on both of these versus the big plastic legs on others.. I only choose to start there bc i at least know a few i like which makes it an easier task to accomplish than car seats right now!

My 1st option, that i love!, is the Fresco Bloom high chair..this thing is amazing!
-it can hold an infant (the only one of its kind) bc it reclines back.
-the foot and tray table come off making it a cool lounger for baby.
-the foot rest adjusts for the growing child
- it has a hydrologic lift so it can later be placed at any height table or bar.
-It is on hidden wheels
-its uber moder
-the colors and chair pads are endless in color choices

The negatives that are keeping me from this chair is that everyone says it is a nightmare to clean, with over a million nooks and crannies, making the reviews for it on amazon suffer!! so for that, ive decided to shop around a bit...

The Fresco Bloom

the 2nd option is the Boon Flair..this awesome chair is pretty similar to the Bloom.
-it has a ton of awesome colors/ replaceable cushions
-it has a horn right at the crotch of the chair so baby wont slide out
-very modern
-is also a hydraulic lift
-is on hidden wheels
-the top of the food tray is smaller and comes off to fit right in the dishwasher
-has NO nooks to clean, its all one solid piece :)))

the negatives: the foot rest isnt adjustable like the Bloom, it also doesnt recline like the bloom

The Boon Flair

im considering a few others but havent totally decided if they are in the running yet or not!

Which do you like???
