Pumpkin Patches and Corn Mazes!

Last week we decided to go to a corn maze and pumpkin patch in portland. Mom and Wilton as well as Ashlee and Charles came along for the fun! Phoenix didnt seem to care either way as he was all bundled up snug in the moby, but we had fun showing him all there was to see none the less. After the maze, we were able to go pick pumpkins :) We got one big "family" pumpkin and 3 little ones, one for each of us. Sadly, one of the little pumpkins never made it home some how :( Phoenix does better and better each time we go out and he did wonderfully on this little adventure! That night him and i slept over at grandma and grandpas house bc he fell asleep and instead of waking up in his usual 2 hours increments, he kept sleeping! So there was no way i was waking him on purpose just to leave! It was a great sleep over :)

Annnnnd.... were back!

Hello!! Phoenix will be 7 weeks old tomorrow so yes, weve been MIA for a bit but also very busy! Weve been working on getting little man on a schedule so that he goes to bed at the same time each night, so that his world is predictable! Now im hoping hell start stacking the hours hes asleep at night. He still wakes up several times a night hungry but then just snacks so he doesnt eat much, making him want to eat again very soon! Hes also finally starting taking daytime naps! He was not sleeping much during the day and was very fussy bc of it, now hes began sleeping more :) Ive began school again as well and have starting going to my clinicals, which i am actually enjoying, im just not enjoying leaving my baby! But i keep telling myself its for the better to knock this all out before hes big! Right now we are medicating for thrush :( it appears to be really minute but i hate that he has to take medicine for anything already! Im being treated as well as a precaution since im BF. He has began enjoying the car sear more and more..no longer does he cry when placed in the seat (well not every time), but instead dozes off to sleep :) Weve had lots of visitors come see baby phoenix in the last few weeks too- of course the grandparents and great grandparents have visited as often as possible and i love phoenix has so many of them to love him! weve also been getting a few short grins lately! We cant wait for the smiling and giggling to begin!!! No one believes hes 6 weeks, hes just so long and has so much hair...we went to the 6 week midwives appt and there was another 6 week old in the lobby who actually looked 6 weeks and was so tiny and cooing in this little tiny baby voice and then there sat phoenix, in his big boy jeans and eyes wide open paired with a big loud voice haha- mom and i couldnt help but laugh bc sometimes i swear he was a month overdue when i gave birth to him! The last few weeks have been tiring and challenging but so amazing and wonderful- and spending everyday with this perfect little boy has been so much fun :))))
