Our Little BOY!

Its official! Baby B is a BOY! I knew it! I dreamed it was 100% team blue! Ben thought Boy as well..and as mom would say- the pencil test equalled boy also :) So yesterday, April 21st we threw a reveal dinner at Bottomview Farms in Portland, TN. The place is so cool with tons for kids to do outside. The weather changed a little and dropped to the mid 50s for the day but the rain subsided before the party began so that was a blessing. We planned to give the envelope with the gender in it to the party store to fill a box mom had painted and i had ordered a sign for that read, " The contents inside will reveal what we hide!"..the party store filled the box with either pink or blue balloons and we picked it up before the party yesterday morning..the party store workers were so excited that they wouldnt even let us pay for the balloons! They insisted we just take the box and go before they spilled the beans! so we did! the Party started at about 1:00, there was fried fish, chicken, wings, beans, cole slaw, pink and blue deviled eggs, a baked potato and sweet potato bar with all the possible toppings, rolls, corn bread, an ice cream bar with all the toppings, pickle shaped cookies, pink and blue cupcakes, carrot cake, pink and blue cotton candy, peach cobbler, and a popcorn machine! We used pink and blue paint swatches stapled together to create silverware holders, and had homemade topiaries for centerpieces :) It was such a blast! After we ate, we took the box outside and opened it up! 24 BLUE balloons shot out of the box and soared into the sky! I cant wait to see the photos that our friends Terri and Frank both captured, they both were there on the front row with their DSLR's and we couldnt be more thankful! Ashlee filmed the whole thing which was awesome as well! Those moments just happen too fast- you have to capture them to reminisce. It appeared that about 60 people were in attendance, well beyond what we'd imagined!! We were so happy to have so much support and family to spend the day with! It was so much fun! Now Ben and I will prepare the nursery, pick a name and get all this boy stuff in order! Finally we have a direction! And we couldnt be more excited to meet our little boy!

Ill post more pics when i get some from Terri and Frank! Also knew this week is the AWESOME dutch door that my grandfather made for us! We wanted one to keep the cats out of the nursery plus have something other than the hideous baby gate idea! We LOVE this door! It not only is beautiful, but it was made by Baby B's great grandfather making it extra special and sentimental :)
