Welcome to 38 weeks!! Im patient but very impatient! Its not that I want to rush him to come out, as much as its that im dying from the anticipation of "when" he will come out! As a bit of a planner when it comes to trips and events, this is one event i cant plan for and that is making it very difficult! But... I suppose we will all just have to kick back and relax until hes ready! I start school Aug. 27th and am hoping he is here before then! But, if hes not, ill just have to roll with the punches and remind myself to breath and not over plan.
This week has been a pretty relaxed one- I had some cramping off and on and bit of an energy surge; all of which I hope means he is getting himself ready! This week we shampooed all the carpets in the house and mom and I hung the canvas DIY maps that we made as art for the nursery. I had a map in there previously when it was our guest room and we used it to put pins in all the places we'd traveled to. I wanted to redo it though and make it a little more aesthetically pleasing since the old one was just a laminated, unframed map. For the new one, we took a paper map, glued it to canvases, then put polyurethane over them to make then stick and add a shine. Last, mom took stain and rubbed it on the edges and corners to age it a bit! Then we added back the travel pins! I think it turned out great! Also this we week we had another appt. with the midwives, which was luckily uneventful! They estimated him at around 7-7.5 lb :)) I feel like hes dropped some bc i am able to sit a little more slouched over without feeling like my ribs are coming out! Otherwise, we just continue to wait!!
