Today I decided to take you to make your first build a bear! Given the bedtime fears, I knew a beuild a bear may help you some because you can insert a recordable within the bear. And at bedtime, my singing is all you want and all that comforts you. You were excited to go and once there you had so much fun! For starters you don't ever get to go to the mall because at 2.5 you're no pro at following directions, understandibly. You chose a brown bunny ( just in time for Easter, too) and couldn't wait to "put him in the fluffet!" As you kept saying. There was a giant machine full of stuffing that you just loved! The lady filled your bunny with fluff as you watched me press the pedal that pushed all the fluff inside him- you wouldn't press the pedal bc it sounds like a vaccum! You helped me sing "bible" aka Jesus loves me, Into the recordable Machine ( which was so special to record with you bc I didn't expect that you'd want to wing along with me :) ), then you inserted the recordable and a beating heart into your bunny. The lady stitched him up and off we went to pick an outfit. We picked Jammie's and house shoes (plus undies!) since he'd be your bedtime buddy. You couldn't wait to jump on the computer and type up his birth certificate! It asked what his name would be and you promptly answered, Benton the bunny! I have no idea where you came up with Benton! I was impressed :) so now our home has bindins, Benton Bunny, Ben, bebe and baby Butterworh! lots of important B names in our home! Whil I paid, you and grandma put Benton under he hair dryer station and combed him. He was all ready to go home! You loved Benton and the fact that when you squeezed his paw, mommys voice can out! We stopped at the Lego store to play a minute and then road the carousel twice. You had a mini momentary meltdown post carousal bc you didn't want to get off of it, actually your first public toddler floor cry, but quickly recover when I explained that bad behavior wouldn't afford you future fun like we had been having. We grabbed you a car snack from the food court and you got in the car fit free for once- wow!!! I'd say it was quite the success and I as so proud of you. At bedtim you didn't get upset and repeated that you had Benton and knew mommys voice "is inside his heart and I push it if I get scared" :) I hope my voice can bring some added safety and peace to your bedtime routine. Xoxox

And as if my heart could take any more cuteness, he grabbed Benton to watch the rain storm this afternoon :)
