First playground time of the year!
Today, february, was 60 degrees! So naturally we headed to the playground! Everytime weve gone to the playground in his 3 short years, hes been better and braver with every visit. Today was no different. And before my eyes he had confidently mastered the tilted metal ladder bars that last time, in the fall, he cbed nervously and slowly. Today he scaled them quickly and bravely. He also didnt fear the monkey bars today, i held him and he crossed them then returned for more but this time crossed the first and then second bar all on his own! He leapt to my arms and squeeled and laughed and nuzzled into face in pure joy and pride! I was doing all these things as well Bc i too couldnt believe hed just done what he did! He climbed the free standing, super tall, swirly slides stairs all alone his time... Quickly might i add! And then we settled in under the playground to play restaurant. The imaginations of toddlers is so amazing. P took his place behind th counter and said, this was His restaurant and He called it "main food. Delicious food" and said he "serves medium hamburgers, medium drinks and water". We paid for it with the wood mulch And everytime id ask for a certain item Hed keep "asking his man" if they have that particular food item. Hed then retreat to the "kitchen area" where "his man" was and say do we have this? And then return to me with his answer. It was pretty amazing. In the photos you can see him doing that, as well as the thiughtful looks on his face as i ask for foods he hadnt expected me to request such as milk shakes, candy, gatorades etc. hed make a inquistive and annoyed look like," youre asking a lot here lady!" (funny bc as a kid me and sara loved to play out beach restaurant we called "sandcastle cafe") hed play Hahaha this boy is awesome. Tonight the sky showered us with the most amazing colors as well at sunset. The first photo was taken the road over from us where our neighborhood backs up to this farm. You can see our neighborhood in the far distance. I also got a shot of the sky through moms tress with her house silhouetted against the colors.
